Hello, is there anybody out there?

Did anyone think I jumped on a ship during my recent visit to Liverpool? Did anyone notice my poor blog manners?

I must apologise for the long delay but I discovered I had added so much to my work load that several things had to give. Unfortunately, this included blog posts and my Ravelympics top. The latter needed to be frogged as it was turning into a giantic geraniuim coloured something. Man, it really spanked my arse. I have never been so happy to rip a project back.

Anyway, whilst I am still stressing over things they are improving and I have high hopes for September. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Amongst everything, there has been some knitting and it means I started the border of Vera last night!
My DS has also been busy making things and, with some help from her husband, she finally showed us what she had been working on for 9 months.
I know I'm prejudiced but she is just stunning.

Woolly Madness

Oops! I think I rather over did it with retail madness in July. My stash grew in leaps with the addition of roving, undyed sock yarn, and some gorgeous Lorna's Laces Shepherds Sock yarn. So much yarn I fel it was important to stop buying.

Then I signed up for Hat Attack II. I am looking forward to this immensely but feel I could either (a) die very quickly or (b) get bored of knitting the same hat over and over again. However, the joy of murder by hat is too great to resist. Also, the yarn for this yarny mayhem is just gorgeous. SWTC called it Therapi and it is just what I need.

I really must not buy yarn in August. Not.buy.YARN. Have I gone insane?

Anyway, the Olympics starts tomorrow and to celebrate I joined the sweatersprint at Ravelympics. My aim is to knit a short sleeved top in 17 days during one of my busiest months.

All power to the needles ... that's what I say.

Anyway, I am off to the City of Culture (Liverpool) for a grand weekend.

Plan to post on my return (with photos coz it is much more interesting).
